Abstract
The article reflects on the author’s experience at the Guadalajara International Book Fair through the ALA–FIL Free Pass Program. It highlights how attending FIL supported the development of Spanish-language collections, created opportunities to connect with publishers and librarians, and offered a broader perspective on international librarianship and professional practice.
