Abstract
Early:
1. Mild chronic panniculitis at the border of the dermis and the subcutis.
2. Minimal fibrosis of the lower dermis.
3. Chronic inflammation, often with admixed eosinophils.
4. Minimal vascular changes except for pericapillary fibrin in some cases (16).
5. Lipomembranous change in the subcutis in some examples (17).
