Abstract
After a focused evaluation of the patient with erectile dysfunction (ED), therapy can usually be recommended based on severity of ED and patient/partner preference. Management of ED should proceed with simultaneous optimization of health outcomes based on shared decision making. In most men, a thorough history, physical exam, and basic laboratory studies should help determine the best approach to treatment of ED. This chapter focuses on the various strategies for the treatment of ED and includes discussions on currently approved agents, investigational therapies, and future directions.
