Abstract
Recently, dressings that contain and release antimicrobial agents at the wound
surface have entered the market. The objective of these dressings is to provide a sustained release of the antiseptic agent at the wound surface to provide a long-lasting
antimicrobial action in combination with maintenance of physiologically moist
environment for healing (Table 3).
