Abstract
Toward a systems approach for studying axon regeneration, the extractive omics must be integrated with single cell and spatial omics. Although a comprehensive analytical framework exists for single-cell transcriptomics, single-cell proteomics, lipidomics, and metabolomics are still emerging. The integration of different omics datasets and/or information is also an emerging area. Despite more than a decade of efforts a lot of standardization and other issues remain toward omics data integration. In this chapter, we present an overview of the current state of single-cell omics, spatial omics, omics data integration, and their various applications for axon regeneration. We also include databases and other resources available for omics at the end of this chapter.
