Abstract
This chapter follows the case of Ms. O, a 27yearold graduate student diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and comorbid panic disorder. Her journey through psychopharmacology treatment is explored, highlighting important considerations in the management of anxiety. This chapter emphasizes the importance of assessing anxiety symptoms and their severity, as well as identifying comorbid psychiatric or medical conditions. The main goals of treatment are to reduce anxiety symptoms and improve the patient’s quality of life. This chapter also discusses the importance of educating patients about potential side effects of medications.
