CHAPTER 10 - Human Reliability Modeling

Joseph Sharit
Fundamental Studies in Engineering, pp.369-410
1993

Abstract

This chapter discusses and critically examines a number of techniques for assessing human reliability, including methods that depend on the quantification of human error as well as approaches that emphasize human cognitive processing. The chapter concludes with an attempt at synthesis in which a number of issues potentially relevant to the problem of predicting human error are raised and briefly discussed.
