Abstract
Current trends in adolescent social anxiety and phobia are reviewed. Articles by international experts in the field, contained in this volume “Social Anxiety and Phobia in Adolescents: Development, Manifestation and Intervention Strategies”, present key findings derived from current research and clinical practice. Findings are summarized regarding the epidemiology, aetiology, assessment, and manifestation of social anxiety and social anxiety disorder in adolescents in clinical and real-life settings as well as on the state-of-art psychosocial and psychopharmacological treatment. Future research directions and needs are highlighted.
