Abstract
Irma was a business student who hoped to get a job as a marketing consultant upon finishing her degree. Although she was genuinely interested in her major, she found her classes extremely distressing, in part because of the required presentations. Irma worried that others would evaluate her negatively, but more specifically, she felt incapable of handling the “intolerable and unmanageable” stress associated with speaking to a group.
