Esthesioneuroblastomas (ENB) are relatively rare neoplasms accounting for less than 5% of malignant sinus tumors. The presentation, preoperative evaluation, imaging, and staging are described. The roles of endoscopic endonasal resection and the traditional transcranial subfrontal approach are compared. The endoscopic surgical technique is emphasized including postoperative repair. The early outcomes of patients who have undergone this approach as well as the role of adjunctive treatment including radiation therapy are described. Potential complications from CSF leak to infectious to vascular are reviewed.
