Abstract
This chapter describes the surgical steps for the exchange of tissue expanders to permanent implants for breast reconstruction. It discusses preoperative markings, step-by-step intraoperative details, postoperative care, and possible complications. In addition to providing a sample dictation, it also suggests further readings in the techniques that assist with implant-based breast reconstruction.
