Abstract
Laser, which is an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission, was first developed in
1959. However, Einstein, in 1927, is credited with initially proposing the concept. In 1963, the prototype ruby laser was used in the treatment of human skin by dermatologist Leon Goldman (1).
