Abstract

Phorbol Myristate Acetate Spleen Cell Helper Activity Suppressor Cell Aging Mouse
Aging is associated with marked changes in immunity characterized by a progressive decline of immune responsiveness to exogenous antigens and increasing incidence of autoimmune phenomena (Doria et al., 1987a). These changes in immune reactivity may reflect multiple events affecting cell proliferation and differentiation in lymphoid tissues (Makinodan and Adler, 1975).
