Abstract
In the United States, the majority of university-based or state-based willed body programs provide a memorial service for the users of the bodies and / or for the families of those individuals who donated their bodies. On the other hand, for-profit and non-profit willed body companies rarely provide any type of service. The differences between the various types of willed body organizations in the United States are examined and a discussion comparing these organizations is highlighted. These differences are especially apparent when examining issues such as the availability of memorial services.
