Abstract

The chapters on bone marrow transplantation are welcome. Occasionally, there are statements such as this: "Blastic transformation, also called acute blastic crisis or the terminal phase, eventually occurs in about 80 percent of patients, either following the accelerated phase or acutely during the course of stable CML [chronic myelocytic leukemia]."
