Leveraging Cultural Resources through Intra-Institutional Collaboration:
Thanks to the generosity of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the University of Miami Libraries and Lowe Art Museum "UMLLAM" have embarked on a four-year collaborative project designed to encourage faculty and student engagement with the University's collections while also increasing object-based outreach and educational opportunities for our many constituencies. This multi-faceted undertaking, which grew out of a summit and resulting White Paper (both of which were spearheaded by the University of Miami), features two new faculty fellowships and a new fund to incentivize UM faculty to incorporate the University's cultural assets into their curricula.
