Abstract

A technique is proposed and developed for resolving the directional ambiguity in steady flows visualized using digital image velocimetry. This method makes use of the existing internal timers found in IBM-compatible personal computers to get very accurate timings. Another advantage of the proposed method is that it permits the use of automatic image processing. (AIAA)
