Data from: Observing System Simulation Experiments for an array of autonomous biogeochemical profiling floats in the Southern Ocean

There are two types of files in this collection, created by MATLAB (in NetCDF 3 format):

1) mapped__N=.nc

• VARIABLE NAME : "O2” (for oxygen) or “DIC” (for carbon)
• NUMBER OF FLOATS : number of floats in each simulation. For oxygen, OSSEs were carried out for N=50, 100, 150, 200, and 300 floats; for carbon, only OSSEs with N=150 floats were carried out.
• contains reconstructed (mapped) values for the surface and integrated over the top 2000 meters (inventories) (micromoles per kg)

2) model_.nc

• VARIABLE NAME : "O2” (for oxygen) or “DIC” (for carbon)
• The model data are climatological values reported for 12 months (Jan-Dec).
