The proposed essay will be a compilation and review of literature relating to alternative methods for resolving hand and wrist pain in woodwind players. The author will examine some of the common problems experienced by these players. Traditional methods may be referred to, but the body of the work will be about alternative methods. The essay will include interviews with practitioners of several alternative methods.
