Abstract
The primary purpose of this study was to examine exercise attitudes, personal incentives for exercise, and classroom feedback responses of community college women. Four research questions guided the investigation: (a) Are classroom feedback techniques related to a change in exercise attitudes of community college women?, (b) Are classroom feedback techniques related to personal incentives for exercise of community college women? and, if so, (c) To what extent, if any, will there be significant weight loss among these women? and, (d) To what extent, if any, will there be significant fat loss among these women? One hundred six Miami Dade Community College students participated in the research. Ninety-three of the students were enrolled in a one-credit aerobic dance class and assigned to either an experimental or comparison group. Thirteen of the students were not enrolled in aerobic dance class or any other exercise class.
