Abstract
"On the Other Hand" is large-scale audio-visual interactive augmented reality (AR) installation art composition combining aleatoric elements and telematic performance. In this installation I will explore the nature of new technologies and how we create new forms of identity and embodiment through these experiences. One of my main goals is to create an AR interactive graphic score composition. I created an AR-app that can be downloaded on individual smartphones and designed the audio-visual interactive model where the spectator will have a role in the distributed creativity process, interacting with other spectators and performers. In this installation, I will try to foreground and establish a new musical interdisciplinary performance platform. In this essay, I examine the spectator/performer’s representation of embodiment and identity in cyber and hybrid spaces while experiencing interactive installation art. I argue about the new post-identities created by the new cyberspaces and how new terminology helps us reassess interactive installation art.
