Can a sphere scatter light producing rectangular intensity patterns?

Abstract

Random stationary media of a spherical shape, having well-chosen refractive index correlation properties are shown to scatter light to far fields with intensity patterns that possess rectangular symmetry. The analysis is valid under the first Born approximation.
