Abstract

Scleroderma, psoriasis, lichen planus, and other skin disorders may signal a more serious internal disease. Physicians who recognize such clues can initiate early treatment while disease is in its early stages. The authors of this article describe several of the more common dermatologie conditions linked to systemic disease, including connective tissue, inflammatory, im-munobullous, and infectious diseases.
