Abstract

A new method of spin density imaging by NMR is described which uses the techniques of line scanning by selective irradiation. The method enables the simultaneous observation of signals from several lines over several planes within the object and theoretical analysis indicates that the sensitivity compares very favorably with other imaging methods. Also described is a new form of tailoring of the selective irradiation pulse.
