Abstract
Structural optimization problems involving dynamic response calculations are classified according to the physical nature of the problem and the major behavior constraint considered. A summary of recent work in each class is given. Recent work on optimization techniques, including approximate analysis techniques, multilevel design techniques, and multi-objective design procedures, is also presented. Structural optimization problems that need further investigation are summarized. (Author)
