Abstract

AluYb8 Alzheimer's disease apolipoprotein E APOE co-pathologies genetics limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (LATE) neurodegenerative disease transactive response DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) TMEM106B
Co‐pathologies are highly prevalent in post mortem AD cases.TDP‐43 and vascular lesions are enriched in AD cases with an older age of death. TMEM106B is a selective modulator of TDP‐43 co‐pathology presentation in AD.In contrast to TMEM106B, APOE ε4 is a global modifier of co‐pathology in AD. TMEM106B variants specifically favor AD TDP‐43 pathological subtype α.
