Abstract
Peer relationships contribute in an important manner to a child's social-emotional development. The present paper describes a training programme that was designed to improve children's interpersonal functioning with peers. This social skills training programme covers eight skill areas found to be important for successful peer relationships. The training procedures and content of the sessions are delineated, and suggestions for implementing the programme in a school setting are offered.
