Abstract
An optoelectronic refractometer has been fabricated in which the intensity of light reflected from the base surface of a prism interfacing the ambient is measured to determine its refractive index. It is found that if the angle of incidence of the light rays falling on the base surface of the prism is varied in small steps over a large range of values then the range of continuous values of μα over which this refractometer remains highly sensitive is considerably enlarged.
