Abstract
This analysis reviewed previous data from 1996 to 2019 to evaluate any changes in species richness or diversity within Crooked Island Sound and incorporate any environmental factors that may have changed over time. After evaluating the data previously collected during fishery-independent gillnet surveys, this report concluded there was not a significant change with elasmobranch or teleost species. This report measured (1) the species richness of this defined region, (2) species diversity to measure stresses on this ecosystem, and (3) the environmental stressors on this area throughout the past two decades. Additionally, this report reviewed abiotic and biotic factors within Crooked Island Sound.
