Abstract
The project goal is to develop a scuba diving specialty course called "Introduction to Exploration Diving," which provides comprehensive training in exploration diving techniques. This specialty covers theoretical knowledge, confined water exercises, and open water dives, ensuring an understanding of exploration diving principles. The SDI/TDI international training agency thoroughly reviewed the specialty. Upon approval, instructors can issue certifications through the appropriate channels. Introduction to Exploration Diving' offers a structured approach to training aspiring exploration divers, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills in confined and open water environments. This specialty is designed to equip students with the necessary expertise to undertake safe and fulfilling exploration dives, instilling a sense of confidence by adhering to established standards and procedures. Key areas considered in creating this specialty include the creation of standards and procedures, student ratios, academic content in confined and open water settings, student prerequisites, course structure and duration, administrative requirements, required equipment, and necessary skill performance criteria. Through this project, we provide a comprehensive and standardized training program that prepares divers for exploration diving in various environments. By ensuring adherence to rigorous standards and procedures, "Introduction to Exploration Diving" enhanced safety and competence among divers, fostering a community of skilled and responsible exploration divers.
