Abstract
My internship with Seaside Sustainability expanded upon many skills that I previously acquired through college courses and also introduced new skills and software that will be beneficial throughout my career. Given the remote format of the internship, strong communication skills were prioritized. Work was conducted on two different teams. One being the Climate Change team focused on writing articles for newsletters that are sent out monthly to investors in fossil fuels and subscribers. The other one is the Blue Tech team whose goal was to create connections and partnerships with vendors of water and shoreline cleanup products and help distribute these products to organizations and businesses who are along water networks. Three months into the internship I was promoted to the department manager for the Blue Tech team and remained in that role until I was finished. This internship involved a heavy dose of research, and professional communication that will supplement what is done in graduate school perfectly.
