Dr. Malik’s practice scope includes the full spectrum of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke management as well as multiple other cerebrovascular conditions such as carotid artery stenosis, venous sinus thrombosis, moyamoya syndrome, cerebral aneurysms and vascular malformations. He treats and manages patients in the hyperacute emergency setting, inpatient setting, and the outpatient clinic with a focus on secondary prevention. His current research interests include optimization of acute stroke systems of care in regards to neuroimaging, acute thrombolytic therapy, and endovascular therapeutic options.
