Barbara Bedogni

The laboratory of Dr. Bedogni studies mechanisms involved in the development and metastatic dissemination of melanoma. specifically the goals are: 1) to understand the signaling pathways that allow melanoma growth, survival and propagation. 2) to determine how these pathways modulate the tumor microenvironment (TME) with a focus on immune responses and the extracellular matrix/tumor interface. 3) To develop novel therapies to treat a broad range of melanomas independently of their oncogenic drivers (e.g. both BRAF mutated and wild type tumors).
