Dr. Bennett is an expert in clinical acoustics and music technology. He is Associate Professor and Chair of the Music Engineering department at the Frost School of Music. He holds a courtesy appointment with the Department of Physical Therapy and Miami VA Hospital where he developed an auditory bio-feedback system for improving gait rehabilitation and return to sport for people with lower extremity injury. Prior to that, he completed postdoctoral research at the UM Miller School of Medicine investigating audible medical alarms utilizing psychoacoustics and human factors in simulated clinical settings to improve patient outcomes.
