Expertise

Lee’s research focuses on examining how individuals (racial and ethnic minorities, LGBT) cope with discrimination and the impact of discrimination on mental health, physical health, educational, and employment outcomes. She is also exploring issues related to multicultural competence development and training, and identity development. In her publications, Lee advocates for the use of nontraditional methodologies in multicultural research.

In her clinical work, Dr. Lee’s passion is in working with low-income, families of color. She has specialized in serving young children, adolescents and their families, particularly in issues related to trauma and mood disorders.
