Prado’s research focuses on the prevention of risky health behaviors, including drug use, unsafe sexual behavior, lack of physical activity, and poor dietary intake, associated with the top leading causes of morbidity and mortality in adolescents, and Hispanic youth in particular.


Dr. Prado’s research focuses on developing, evaluating, and translating preventive interventions for addressing smoking, alcohol, drug abuse, HIV, and obesity health disparities among Hispanic youth.
