Expertise

Dr. Jozic’s research focuses on understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms of aging that contribute to pathophysiology of human skin diseases and translating this knowledge towards development of potential therapeutic applications. Specifically, how the deregulation of caveolin-1 impacts several cellular functions including cellular migration and subsequent wound healing. Also, what is the contribution of aging and increased cellular senescence, as well as bacterial colonization to delayed cellular migration, collagen deposition and deregulation of cell signaling.
