Dr. Byrnes' interests focus on hematologic malignancies, and retrovirus-associated malignancies. Other interests are mechanism and treatment of thrombotic microangiopathy syndromes, including thrombocytic thrombocytopenia purpura (TTP) and hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS).
