Dr. Watts’ research focuses on generating new therapeutic options for patients with acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome. He does this through translational research with laboratory investigators and by designing and conducting early phase clinical trials of novel agents and precision medicine approaches, and by analyzing patients cells in the lab to understand the mechanisms of action. His research specifically focuses on developing epigenetic-targeted therapies for these diseases.
