Medhi Wangpaichitr

Dr. Wangpaichitr's laboratory is dedicated to studying tumor metabolism and the mechanisms behind drug resistance, with a focus on developing new tumor models for clinical application. His team has pioneered a patient-derived organoid tumor (PDOT) prototype that holds significant relevance for tumors affecting active-duty service members, veterans, military beneficiaries, and the general public. His primary research interests include: 1) overcoming drug resistance in lung cancer, and 2) understanding the metabolic changes that occur when tumors develop resistance to chemotherapy.
