Dr. Ramakrishnan's laboratory is investigating hypoxia-driven changes in the tumor microenvironment. These studies are focusing on micro-RNA network and cellular iron homeostasis modulating gut microbiome, tumor angiogenesis and immunophenotype of ovarian cancer. He and his team are developing autologous cancer vaccines based on genetically engineered super antigens to induce immune response against peritoneal metastasis.
Research interests: Tumor angiogenesis – Antiangiogenic Gene Therapy.
