Dr. Perrino’s research and community work focus on the prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral problems among youth, especially depression, as well as the critical role that families can play in health promotion. She has worked in several health research areas, including drug abuse, HIV, obesity, and depression, and is a long-time member of the Society for Prevention Research, the American Psychological Association, and the American Public Health Association.
