Dr. Lesiuk’s research interests include investigating the role of music and music therapy in high stress occupations (e.g., air traffic control and computer information systems development).

Her latest philosophical writing addresses the development of presence in the music therapy clinician.


Dr. Lesiuk's interest is in Music Therapy to improve attention (from 'chemobrain') and decrease symptom distress (anxiety, depression, tension) in women receiving adjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer. Specifically, testing the efficacy of mindfulness-based music therapy to improve attention and decrease symptom distress.
