Dr. Liu's research interests span two areas: 1) targeting tumor microenvironment, in particular, stromal fibroblasts and tumor vasculatures; and 2) investigating the role of Notch signaling in angiogenesis and vascular diseases, including atherosclerosis as well as the signals and mechanisms underlying homing of endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) and mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) to wound, inflammation, and tumor tissues.
