Dr. Jones research program aims to better understand and attenuate disparities in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). In current projects, Dr. Jones is investigating the needs of patients, the surrounding community and healthcare providers in an effort to build interventions that increase screening for underlying liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. Ultimately, the goal of her work is to improve the delivery of healthcare to populations that are disproportionately affected by liver disease and have reduced survival.
